Out With the Old and In With the New

2010 is here, and as we begin a new year and a new decade, we’re taking a look back at DeLuxe’s history in the modular industry, as well as a look at what lies ahead.
DeLuxe is now celebrating its 45th year as a provider of quality modular residential buildings. In that time, we’ve evolved from a single family residential builder to a construction company capable of building steel framed multi-family structures up to 12 stories. While DeLuxe’s roots are in single family housing, we also gained experience throughout the 80s and 90s in the multi-family construction market; building hotel and apartment projects including several apartment buildings in New York City, as well as a Sandals resort in the Bahamas.

We’re now focused exclusively on steel framed construction, and we’ve developed two unique modular construction systems that comply with 5-A, 3-A or 1-B construction types. We’re also focusing exclusively on four markets; hospitality, student housing, apartments and condominiums. We’ve recently introduced our Student Living Series, and we’re currently working on predesigned apartments and condominiums that utilize the latest energy and space efficient designs.

As 2009 drew to a close, we started to notice some new life from projects that had been somewhat dormant.  This gives us hope for economic improvement in 2010 and beyond. While our tradition of providing quality modular projects will remain unchanged, our future will build on that tradition as we continue to improve our construction techniques along with promoting sustainable and responsible construction.

So, out with the old, in with the new, and Happy New Year!
